Hey guys :] You’re seeing this layout right now because I’m an idiot who accidentally deleted the css file for the Benevolence theme that I’ve been using. I guess its time for ATW to receive that huge site upgrade that it deserves anyway :O. I suppose deleting the old css file is just a push towards the overhaul that I’ve been too lazy to work on.

Edit: Actually, I kind of love this layout. Grids and typography are guilty pleasures of mine.

I got a new haircut! I hacked it off short like a boy’s, only not :B So its just short and weird lookin’. Its a rare sight, seeing me in glasses. It turns me into a boy nerd O:

Attempted Upgrade

Within the last hour, I’ve managed to perfect my site (sort of), back it up, attempted to upgrade it but then messed it up, reattempted to upgrade it, messed it up some more, tried to send it back to the version it was at before, sent it back to 2005, and then back to the current present. And the worst part is, is that during the whole upgrading business, I followed the directions perfectly x_______X;

I should probably stop touching the whole upgrading WordPress issue. . . . I’m not cut out for this!

I got rid of Spam Karma 2.

Thanks to the girls over on Lavish, I found out that I already had a spam killer thing already installed. I also found out that I had a blog over on WordPress without even remembering it which gave me the key to using the new spam killer :B

So now ATW is procted with Askimet. Hopefully it wouldn’t eat all of my comments :D

Updates to ATW

So I’ve made a few updates to ATW. Not in content, since I’m a lazy mofo like that . . but I’ve installed a new spam killer (my old site, RWS was spammed every day @@;) because I’ve recently received two spammy comments on both ATW and it’s archives. So now they’re protected :D. Only since I wasn’t sure what all the functions meant, I’m not sure if the spam killer will eat all comments after this @@;

Soooo here are my new settings that may be of relevance to you guys (yes, all two of you):

No posting links :O Those spammers that attacked rws posted bazillions of links and were all sent to moderation. Only now I won’t even be able to moderate those comments (since I’m lazy) it will eat your comment instead :D

You actually have to be on the page for a certain number of seconds before commenting. If you comment before you’ve been on the page for less than three seconds, your comment will be eaten. But then again, it takes way longer than three seconds to read any of the crap posted here, so you’ll be fine :B

In regards to that “Slow Down Cowboy” thing: Yeah. It didn’t come with the spam killer, but with the layout instead. I’m not exactly sure how to fix it yet :’D

And thats about it. There’s a way to take the comments that are legit out of the spam bucket, but theres a good chance I won’t see it and delete it instead.

Lastly on the sitely news report, I’ve installed a new audio player! I won’t have bazillions of music uploaded to the site since I don’t have the room, nor are you guys able to download the music (just email me, but you could click the little button and enlighten yourselves <3

I finally got around to uploading the archives from my old domain, iron-butterfly.com. Check them at: Archives @ATW

Find familiar faces, non familiar faces, weird rants from the teenage years, etc.

Read all about that one time I had a huge crush on Gas Station Guy, Aaron to that one time I got the guts to call him and winded up dialing the number to Dominoes on accident to that one perfect night with him in lk.

He’s only significant in that he was the guy I’ve had a crush on from the end of 2004 to the end of 2005. I don’t feel its fair to chop out a chunk out of my life simply because that one date apparently didn’t mean anything to him. He represents me, as a 2005 version of myself. And yeah it was only two years ago. But wouldn’t it be a shame if I didn’t grow at all from then? Foolish, stupid, naive, optimistic, actually giving a damn. That mad crush on Aaron was kind of like that. And after that date, I asked myself “what if I wake up from all of this?”

In the end, I guess I really did wake from that 19 year trip.

Hey everyone, this is Karen. Not quite as stupid, but not exactly brilliant. Not exactly naive, but still gullible. I’ve had my heart broken once since that date with Aaron, twice if you count the heartbreak that I went through with him, but I’ve not become jaded. I’m not exactly sure why, but I kind of like me as I am now. And I hope you do too.

Although I really must admit that I don’t care if you like me otherwise.
